Liminality consists of the parts in life in which one is standing at a threshold between a single stage of life and another. Old habits, beliefs, and personal identity disintegrate in a period of discomfort, of waiting, and of transformation. To get through a liminal space, to bridge the gap between one situation to the next, one must develop, mold, and strengthen themselves. The focus of this piece is in the details, the quiet moments within a person, in which healing, routines, and self discovery take place. As the cliché goes, “It’s all about the journey, not the destination.” Originally inspired by E.E. Cumming's poem, "I Will Wade Out"
